Thanks to everyone who helped to make the fourth Bay Area Coral Farmers Market event a success ! We acheived a total attendance figure that was slightly less then our total attendance in 2007. Our 2008 total attendance was 137. We had a total of 11 coral farming vendors setup displays and there was a very good selection of propagated corals offerred for sale by our vendors. See images below of the actual amazing corals that were offerred for sale. The Coral Farmers Market setup 5 rental tanks and the Coral Transport System was also rented by a vendor. These logistical operations all worked very well. We have been getting some great feedback from the attendees and vendors. From a financial point of view most of the vendors did good, but strong sales were spread out over the 11 coral farming vendors present. We probably want to target around 8 to 10 coral farming vendors per 125 to 150 total attendees. Even with the lowest attendance to date for the BA-CFM event, the Bay Area Coral Farmers Market company will for the first time just barely show a profit for this event. This was primarily due to some aggressive cost savings. The Bay Area Coral Farmers Market received excellent support from the Bay Area Reefers BAR Reef Society. We are planning to hold a fifth annual Bay Area Coral Farmers Market during the summer of 2010. We will update this web site with the new information sometime around the end of 2009. Sharing and subleasing Fullscale booths has become a more common practice. The CFM requests that
all subleasing businesses and hobbyists must inform the CFM about their attendance.
We do not recommend subleasing or putting more then 1 display reef into a Midscale booth.
That space is too small and we are limited on how much power we can run to the Midscale booth island.




World Wide Corals made the trip all the way from Orlando Florida and displayed some very exotic corals.
This display reef contains a mix of very rare Chalices and Favia stony corals.

AWExotics had an eclectic display jam packed with SPS, LPS and softy corals.
It appears that Todd's new farming system is up and running well.

Another eclectic mix of corals from Richard McKellip of Wishing2BOutside.
This Acanthastrea dominated reef also has Favias and softy corals.

Fantasy Coral had some very generous sized coral fragments in there small display system.
Corals included: Favias; Chalices; Acans; Cyphastreas; and soft corals.

There were three vendors sharing this common booth space composed of 2 Fullscale booths.
Three vendors can easily fit into this space and we removed the common 3 foot pipe and drape divider.




Atlantis Aquarium sets up a display reef in this home town BA-CFM event.
This display reef contained a mix of SPS corals and soft polyps.

Dan and Tina of Wet Thumb Frags displayed an SPS dominated collection with good variety.
This business team has become regular vendors at many coral frag shows around the country.

Reeffarmers of Southern California displayed a good selection of SPS corals.
Many of the CFM auction and raffle corals are on the left side of this display.

Jason of Aquarium in Motion also made the trip from Southern California.
His display reef contains a great variety of SPS, LPS and softy corals.

The Bay Area Reefers hobbyist organization has been very supportive of BA-CFM events.
Here they demonstrate how an LCD projector system can be placed into a Fullscale booth.




Your Reef of Sacramento displays an incredible variety of corals that included most types.
On the far right of this display a line of Bazooka Joe Watermelon corals can be seen.

Hugo Zuniga (snipersps) was one of many southern California Coral Farmers that made the trip north.
Corals of note include numerous: Montipora setosa; Sponge Bob Favia; True Undata; and Blue Zoo's.
